FACE TUTORIAL

I will make a diva-face for this doll. This is the "standard" doll face.
This is how I want it to look:

OK, we start by creating a new image with these settings:

Now you should pick the skin tones for your doll. It should be the same as the base body, of course. These are the colors I use:

We start with the darkest color, and draw the outline of the face. Then we fill it with the lightest color, like this:

I have resized this image so that you see up close what I'm doing. Then it's time to choose the colors for the lips and eyes. These are the colors I want:

I start with the lips. The upper lip is 4 pixels wide and the lower lip is 2 pixels wide. Paint the upper lip darker than the other. Use the darkest skin color to paint the nose (2 pixels wide) one pixel above the upper lip, like this:

Now for the eyes. I use black and outline the eyes, like this:

Then I draw the eyebrows, like this:

Now we're filling in the eyes with white, and painting the eye color.

Now the face is done!! You can add eye shadow, or you could shade the face to give it some depth.

This is how she looks now. Nice, huh?
